ABOUT ME
Welcome to Women Authentic!
I am Janelle Watkins, founder of Women Authentic. I am a wife, author, minister, certified life coach and co-host alongside my husband Van of podcast, Kingdom Perspective. My husband, Van and I have been married for 18 years and we reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I am passionate about living for Christ and sharing His love, and Gospel with others.
I am originally from Mobile, Alabama and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1989. Because of my love for the south, I consider both Alabama and Georgia to be home for me. A few fun facts about me are that I enjoy Pilates, running, outdoor activities, and reading.
I have over nineteen years of experience working in the nonprofit sector which includes group homes for women, nonprofit organizations serving adolescents and full time ministry.
I am honored that you would allow me to speak and share with you all that God has placed on my heart. Always know that God loves you and stay anchored in His Word!
ABOUT WOMEN AUTHENTIC
By the leading of God in February 2012, Janelle founded Women Authentic, Inc., hosting monthly bible studies for women to learn and discuss the Word of God all while fostering sisterhood. In each Authentic Session, Janelle shares and teaches in-depth bible studies through sound biblical principles, and encourages women to always seek God first for His plans in all aspects of their lives.
Women Authentic is also an environment where women can engage, share and develop genuine friendships. Since the inception of Women Authentic, it has been a vehicle that God has used in many women’s lives in helping them discover and pursue their life-purposes. It has also been a tool that has allowed women to use their voices to bring about change and healing in their communities.
In addition to hosting monthly bible-study discussion sessions, Women Authentic, Inc. is also supportive of women and children in the community through donations and various collaborative efforts. Efforts such as food and clothing drives for families, shoe-box drives filled with toiletries for mothers in group homes, back to school supplies drives and luggage collections for children in foster care.
